Sensate Rainbow

Sensate Rainbow is a two person exhibit I am in with Michelle Andrade at Project Room G3. It opens January 16th, from 7-9, and runs through February 13th. It is a multidisciplinary installation which means it will have video, paintings, sound, 'zines, and more.

Some odds and ends in no particular order. At the top is a drawing I finished last night called Touch Taste Time, ink on paper 8.5" x 11". Next is a painting called Pattern IV (2008), acrylic on panel. Below that is Pull the Strings (2009), a drawing in collaboration with Tucker Neel, ink on paper, 14" x 17". Then the first in a series of untitled rug drawings (also just finished), ink on paper, 22" x 15". Last is an installation picture of Serial Triptych from 2007, acrylic on canvas, 3 units 18" x 24" each.

Kaleidoscopic

Kaleidoscopic is a new installation by STATION at Phantom Galleries. It is currently on view at 340 E Pine Street in Downtown Long Beach California. The exhibit is viewable from the street 24 hours a day. There is an opening reception on Saturday January 24th from 7-9 PM. This Mural graces the back wall of the installation. The installation also includes psychedelic wallpapers as well as paintings and drawings by STATION members.

Here are some new images. The top three images are drawings from a comic called Floating that I made in collaboration with Michelle Andrade. The comic is 30 pages long, has a silkscreened cover, and is available for $12. More info can be found at Parce Meo Sepulto's myspace, or by emailing me. The bottom image is a recent acrylic and ink painting titled Pattern II. It was shown at El Nopal Press in March, and measures 8" x 8".

New Show

This new painting is titled "cowboy." It will be one of three pieces I have in a show in downtown LA next weekend. The show is called First/Last and you can see the applicable info above.

The Station show at El Nopal Press was a lot of fun and a good success. I will post some pics from the show soon.

Also I just finished a few books. The newest one is called Floating and was made in collaboration with my Michelle Andrade. It is an edition of 50 perfect bound books with silkscreened covers and 30 pages. Also, I am finished printing a book called "Insazy" by Michelle Andrade. It is a book of sketchbook drawings, 80 pp, silkscreened cover, and measures 8.5" x 5.5". It is also limited to 50 copies. Anyone interested in purchasing these can contact me. Soon they will be available from my site.

My Website has finally been updated, with new paintings, prints, links, and even a paypal device for buying prints/books. Hopefully I will be able to update it a little more frequently now.

I have been working on more collaborative drawings with Station partners Michelle Andrade and Tucker Neel. Michelle and I put out a mini book called La Estrella in October, and hopefully Station will be releasing a collaborative book very soon as well. Also I will be participating in a group show called "Station," along with my Station mates, Michelle, Tucker, Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia and Adam Mars. The show is in Downtown LA at El Nopal Press opening February 7th.

After about a year, this handmade book project is finally done! A 24 page book with photocopied innards and a 3 color silkscreen cover in an edition of 50. This was a collaboration with fellow Otis Graduate Michelle Andrade. The book is made up of collaborative drawings and a few comix. I have moved into a new studio in downtown LA and am starting a blog to better update news. Here is a picture of a somewhat recent painting titled "Eyes of thje Beholder." Hopefully this will allow me to add pictures and news items much more frequently than on my website.
